Kasia Laganowska is bilingual, bicultural and binational. Love of a jolly good read has been a joyous constant in her life. An alumna of Cambridge University and based in the UK, she translates between English and Polish. Kasia is passionate about words and fascinated by the interdependence between language and culture. She believes we can all feel part of many cultures, particularly through really good food and high-quality literary translation.

Kasia most enjoys working with verse and quirky mainstream prose, especially speculative fiction, and was selected for the 2025 Emerging Translator Mentorship run by the National Centre for Writing in the UK (NCW ETM). She has been known to pen her own verse on occasion and is a member of the Society of Authors.
